Choosing the right jewellery and gemstone for your skin tone can be challenging, especially when shopping online.

Here are a few tips to guide you:

First you have to determine your skin's undertone. It is not the same as your skin tone. Your undertone is just below the surface of your skin, and this affects your overall colour. Under natural light, look at the inside of your wrist and determine what colour your veins are.

There are three skin undertones:

1. Warm

If your veins are green; you have a warm skin tone. In this case, consider warm natural tones such as orange-red, browns, dark green, dark blues, cream, olive and violet-red gemstones. A few examples of gems are Carmelians, Sapphires, Amethyst, Emeralds. Yellow Gold and Rose Gold would be an excellent complement for your warm skin undertone.

2. Cool

A cool skin undertone is when your veins are blue or purple. Then consider opting for bright and lively colours such as purple, turquoise, blues, emerald green and reds or purples that are bluish. Amethyst, Turquoise, Garnets, Emeralds and Sapphires would be a good choice. Silver, White Gold and White Metals will illuminate your cool undertones.

3. Neutral

When your veins are both blue and green; then you have a neutral skin undertone. You are lucky, choose what you like, everything fits you.

By the way, white or black gems such as Diamonds, Pearls, Onyx or Black

Diamonds are allrounders. But the final decision is yours. If you are attracted to something, wear it with confidence and dazzle your world.
